Don’t Be A Robot! Shake Things up with These Creative Camera Techniques

As Outdoor and Landscape Photographers it’s easy to get caught up in the technical do’s and don’ts when it comes to “properly” using our cameras. There’s a plethora of information available today that speaks towards the “correct” way to create a properly exposed image, or the “correct” way to create a well composed photograph or the “correct” aperture and shutter speed to use for landscape photography and the list goes on and on and on. But, if we all stuck to this “correct’ pathway so to speak for successful photography, we’d all end up creating similar if not the same types of imagery that would result in a robotic feel to the entire art form. In this talk, Mark Denney will discuss creative on-location camera techniques that’ll enable you to step out of the proverbial box and begin creating unique images that tell compelling, captivating, and thought provoking stories of a particular moment spent on-location.

SPEAKERS: Mark Denney began working as a part time freelance photographer in 2016 creating outdoor photography content for local brands and in 2018 rolled the dice and became a full time landscape photographer. Much of his YouTube content has been featured in publications such as PetaPixel, Fstoppers and ShutterBug Magazine.
